Two Brides, Two WED2B Wedding Dresses: Bespoke Alterations for a Fulham Wedding
Two brides from Fulham travelled to my private studio in Sutton, Surrey, for WED2B wedding dress alterations. Their Amika and Luka gowns each required a personal approach, including internal corsetry, bust cups and bustles, with Maggie sleeves added to the Luka dress. I also steam-pressed both wedding dresses and veils, seven bridesmaids’ dresses and their nan’s dress ahead of the celebration.
Both brides chose WED2B wedding dresses, but each gown required a personalised approach to achieve the perfect fit and reflect each bride’s individual style.
Alongside altering both wedding dresses, I also professionally steamed and prepared both bridal gowns and veils, as well as seven bridesmaids’ dresses and the bride’s grandmother’s dress, ensuring the entire bridal party was ready for the celebration.

The first bride wore the romantic WED2B Amika wedding dress, featuring delicate lace detailing and a full A-line tulle skirt.
To create a secure and comfortable fit, the alterations included:
- Internal corset added for additional structure and support
- Bust cups added for improved shaping and comfort
- Bustle added to lift and secure the train for the reception
- Steam pressed Dress and vei
The added internal support allowed the strapless bodice to sit beautifully while maintaining the softness and elegance of the original gown.
WED2B Luka Wedding Dress Alterations Fulham | Maggie detachable Sleeves
The second bride wore the elegant WED2B Luka wedding dress, which was transformed with several bespoke alterations.
The alterations included:
- Bodice taken in through the bust for a closer, more tailored fit by approximately 8cm to achieve the correct proportion and comfort fitting.
- Internal corset added for support and shaping
- Bust cups added
- Maggie off-the-shoulder sleeves added to personalise the design
- Wedding dress hem shortened to achieve the perfect length
- Bustle added to allow the train to be lifted after the ceremony
Adding the off-the-shoulder sleeves created a completely personalised look, giving the bride the romantic style she wanted while maintaining the elegance of the original WED2B Luka gown.
Bridal Party Dress Preparation
As well as completing the alterations on both wedding dresses, the final preparation involved steaming and pressing:
- Both bridal gowns
- Both wedding veils
- Seven bridesmaids’ dresses
- Grandmother’s dress
