My beautiful bride Chloe travelled from Chichester to attend her fittings in Sutton with Tina, her Mum even staying with her mum so she could make both appointments comfortably and ensure every detail of her gown was refined to perfection.This Bridal Alterations for my Chichester Bride started with a recommendation from a a previous bride’s mum to Tina.

The gown was a structured mikado-style bridal dress with a statement bow back detail and a clean, modern silhouette. While already beautiful, it required significant internal reconstruction to achieve the perfect bridal fit.
The goal was to enhance support, refine proportions, and ensure the dress moved comfortably throughout the wedding day and evening.
Bridal Alterations Chichester ✂️ | Couture Alterations Undertaken
This dress underwent a full technical restructure:
- Taken in by approximately 8cm throughout the bodice, waist, and hip area
- Back collar section carefully separated and reconstructed for correct shaping and contour
- Internal corset system added for structured support and stability
- Built-in cups inserted and shaped for lift and natural contour
- Full skirt and bodice balance adjusted for proportion and flow
- Length shortened and rebalanced for movement and ground clearance
- Professional bustle system created for evening wear and dancing
- Additional bustle loops integrated into the bow detail, allowing the bride to wear the bow all day while still lifting the train later in the evening
This combination of structural and aesthetic adjustments ensured the gown maintained its clean modern design while dramatically improving fit and comfort.

One of the most important parts of this transformation was the internal construction.
By adding a hidden corset and reshaping the internal bodice, the dress gained:
