Madi Lane Bridal Transformation | Scalloped Hem Reconstruction
One of the most time-consuming elements of the alterations involved shortening the gown while preserving the intricate scalloped lace edge.
Rather than losing the beautiful detailing at the hem, the scalloped border was carefully reconstructed and repositioned to the new length, maintaining the integrity of the original design.
This type of bridal alteration requires precision and patience but creates a far superior finish compared with a standard shortening.
Preparing a Wedding Dress for International Travel
As this was a destination wedding, the gown also needed to travel safely.
Following completion of the alterations, the dress was carefully packed and folded to fit inside an extra-small cabin suitcase, allowing the bride to transport her wedding dress easily and safely on her journey.
Despite the dramatic size reduction, sleeve modifications and complete scalloped hem reconstruction, the gown arrived ready for its beautiful seaside wedding celebration.
