✨ ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a silk artist and couture seamstress based in Sutton, Surrey, with over 24 years of experience in craftsmanship and design.
I began painting in 1998 and, over the years, taught myself through exploration and practice. Throughout my journey in bridalwear, I kept this creative part of me alive — and now I feel ready to share it more openly.
Many of the pieces you see here have already found homes, with the exception of two paintings created at Karen Sistek’s studio in Seattle, which hold a very special place in my heart.
My work combines artistic expression with couture-level precision, supported by a background that includes garments from leading fashion houses such as Dior, Prada, Emporio Armani and Alexander McQueen.
I bring the same level of care and high-end finish to every piece I create.

Enchanted Silks &Signature Silks:
Each of my hand painted silk scarves begins as an original artwork… translated onto silk through a slow and considered process. Inspired by nature, symbolism and storytelling, these pieces are created to stand out — whether worn simply or styled as a statement.
No two pieces are ever repeated.

SIGNATURE MINI SILKS
Hand-painted silk bandana collection
A refined collection of hand-painted silk scarves in a smaller more versatile format, bandanas, designed as smaller statement pieces that can be styled effortlessly while retaining the same level of craftsmanship and detail.
Designed to be versatile, the mini silks offer a more understated way to wear hand-painted silk — while maintaining the same artistic integrity as the larger pieces.
THE PROCESS
Individually designed and painted by hand
Every scarf is painted by hand using traditional silk techniques, allowing colour to flow naturally through the fabric. The design is first sketched out on a sketch book. Once you are happy it gets transferred to paper, (I personally draw the full 200cm by 50cm design) . The silk is stretched after a gentle wash. Then stretched on a frame. The design is transferred to the fabric. Then comes the gutta outlining with painting. You can use heat setting paints or steam setting dyes . I prefer the dyes myself as they are so much more vibrant and keeps the luxurious silk soft . The dyes penetrate the silk and the paint sits at the top so when painted with dyes front and back are equally intense whereas dyes tend to have a lighter colour on the reverse side of the fabric.

My work has been further refined through advanced silk painting techniques learned under master silk painter Karen Sistek, deepening my understanding of how silk responds to colour, movement and layering.

As everything is hand drawn and painted brush stroke by brush stroke there are bound to be slight design modifications in each piece. This process ensures that no two pieces are ever identical, giving each creation its own character and depth.
WORN AS ART
Fluid, expressive pieces that move with the wearer
Designed to be more than an accessory, each scarf interacts with movement, light and form. Whether worn casually or styled for occasion, the silk brings softness, presence and individuality to the wearer.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
From the initial sketch to the final finish, each stage is completed with care. Fine brushwork, layered colour and delicate detailing come together to create pieces that are both wearable and enduring.
The same attention to detail is applied across both my silk work and bridal alterations, where every adjustment is approached with a couture-level finish.
Based in Sutton, Surrey, I offer private silk painting workshops for those seeking a calm, creative, one-to-one experience.
BEYOND SILK
Lace knitting and calligraphy
Alongside silk painting, my work extends into fine lace knitting and cross stitch calligraphy…disciplines that share the same patience, precision and attention to detail. These quieter crafts influence every piece I create, adding depth, texture and a sense of timeless artistry.

Bespoke Veils & Bridal Accessories
Alongside my hand-painted silk work, I occasionally create bespoke veils and refined bridal details like bespoke hair combs & accessories designed to complement the gown with subtlety and balance.
Each piece is approached with the same understanding of movement, light and structure, ensuring it enhances rather than overwhelms the overall look.
These pieces are created on a limited, by-request basis and are discussed during fittings where appropriate.

Brides visit from across Surrey and South London, including Sutton, Cheam, Croydon, Crystal Palace Wimbledon, Kingston upon Thames, Banstead, Belmont, Morden , Carshalton and surrounding areas.
