I am a couture-trained dressmaker and expert seamstress specialising in complex bridal alterations, with a portfolio of bespoke garments demonstrating advanced construction and design. With extensive experience working on structurally intricate gowns, I carry out bridal alterations in Warlingham for brides who require precise fitting, advanced technical adjustments, and complete dress transformations tailored to their day.

My work goes beyond standard alterations, focusing on reshaping, reconstructing, and refining each gown while preserving its original design integrity. From detailed bodice restructuring to intricate lace and embellishment work, every alteration is approached with a couture-level understanding of construction and finish.

Ball Gown Wedding Dress – Ceremony Look

This bride from Warlingham came to me with a vision that required more than standard alterations—it called for three completely different wedding dresses, each tailored to a specific moment of her day.

Her ceremony gown was a classic ball gown wedding dress, with a structured bodice and full skirt. The focus here was precision—refining the fit through the bust and waist while preserving the lace placement and maintaining the balance of the skirt’s volume.

For a Warlingham wedding, this silhouette needed to feel both timeless and effortless. Every adjustment ensured the gown remained secure, elegant, and perfectly proportioned as she walked down the aisle.

Fishtail Wedding Dress – Reception Look

For the reception, the silhouette shifted entirely.

Her second gown was a fitted fishtail wedding dress, designed to contour the body and create a sculpted, elongated line. It required detailed shaping through the bodice and hips, ensuring the structure supported movement while maintaining a clean, close fit.

I resized this dress down by three sizes, with the length adjusted through lifting to preserve the integrity of the design. I added a bustle for the transition into the evening and first dance, along with internal corsetry to provide additional support and structure.

The layered ruffle skirt added softness and movement, creating contrast against the structured bodice while allowing the dress to flow naturally throughout the evening.

Tea-Length Wedding Dress – Ball Gown Transformation

The third dress involved a full transformation.

A traditional ball gown wedding dress was completely reworked into a tea-length (T-length) wedding dress. This type of alteration goes far beyond shortening a hem—it requires a complete rebalancing of proportion, volume, and structure.

The skirt was reshaped so that the fullness remained intentional at a shorter length, creating a lighter, more playful silhouette while maintaining a refined finish.
