Made With Love Bridal Alterations | Audrey & Celine Mini – One Bride, Two Beautiful Wedding Dresses

Some wedding days deserve more than one unforgettable dress. For this wonderful bride, her wedding story unfolded in two stunning Made With Love designs. She wore the elegant Audrey gown for her ceremony before changing into the stylish Celine Mini for the evening celebrations. Although both dresses already reflected Made With Love’s signature contemporary style, each required specialist MWL Wedding Dress alterations to achieve the flawless fit she envisioned.
From correcting previous alterations on the Audrey gown to tailoring the Celine Mini for effortless dancing, every adjustment was completed with the aim of preserving the original design while ensuring both dresses looked and felt exceptional throughout the wedding day.
MWL Wedding Dress alterations | One Bride, Two Made With Love Wedding Dresses

Choosing two wedding dresses has become increasingly popular, allowing brides to enjoy a timeless ceremony gown before changing into a lighter, more playful reception dress.
The Audrey created a sophisticated, elegant silhouette for the ceremony.

The Celine Mini transformed the evening into a relaxed celebration, giving the bride complete freedom to dance while remaining every bit as stylish.
Although each dress served a different purpose, both required precision bridal alterations to ensure they worked perfectly for her individual proportions.
MWL Wedding Dress alterations | Restoring the Made With Love Audrey Gown

Before arriving at my studio, the Audrey gown had already been altered elsewhere.
However, the previous alterations had left noticeable puckering along both side seams, affecting the smooth, minimalist silhouette that makes this Made With Love design so striking.
Unlike heavily embellished gowns, minimalist crepe wedding dresses leave nowhere to hide. Every seam must sit perfectly, making precision workmanship essential.
To restore the gown, I carefully reopened both side seams and completely reconstructed them, removing the previous stitching before reshaping and refitting each side. This eliminated the puckering and restored the elegant, clean lines that define the Audrey design.
Once the alterations were complete, both the wedding gown and bridal veil were professionally steam pressed, ensuring everything was beautifully prepared for collection and ready for the wedding day.
Sometimes the most important alterations are the ones nobody notices.
The finished gown simply looked as it should have done from the beginning.
MWL Wedding Dress alterations | Transforming the Made With Love Celine Mini

After the ceremony, it was time for an entirely different bridal look.
The bride changed into the Made With Love Celine Mini, creating a stylish reception outfit designed for dancing and celebrating comfortably.
Although the dress already suited her vision, several couture alterations were needed to perfect the fit.
The bodice was carefully taken in by approximately one dress size to create a beautifully sculpted silhouette while maintaining the clean lines of the original design.
To achieve the playful length the bride wanted, the dress was shortened by approximately three inches evenly all the way around.

The original pocket bags were also removed. While practical, they created unnecessary bulk beneath the fitted skirt and could be visible through the fabric. Removing them allowed the dress to skim smoothly over the body while preserving its elegant shape.
To provide additional confidence throughout the evening, I installed an internal waist stay. This hidden couture feature anchors the dress comfortably around the waist, helping prevent the bodice from slipping while allowing complete freedom to dance.

Every alteration remained invisible from the outside, ensuring the dress retained the effortless aesthetic that Made With Love is known for.
Reconstructing the Chantilly Lace Sleeves
One of the most intricate parts of this project involved altering the beautiful Chantilly lace sleeves.
Rather than simply shortening them, they were carefully reconstructed to preserve every delicate detail.

The sleeves were taken in to create a close, elegant fit around the arms before being shortened to the bride’s proportions.
The covered button loops were remade, the buttons repositioned, and the delicate scalloped lace edge was carefully removed before being hand reattached to maintain the original finish.
These are the kinds of couture details that are rarely noticed by guests, yet they make all the difference to the finished garment.
The alterations disappear completely into the original design.
Behind Every Seam

Wedding photographs capture beautiful moments.
What they don’t show are the hours of skilled craftsmanship behind every perfectly fitted gown.
From correcting previous alterations on the Audrey dress to carefully rebuilding the Chantilly lace sleeves on the Celine Mini, every stage of this project required patience, precision and an understanding of couture garment construction.
My goal is always the same.

Not simply to alter a wedding dress.
But to ensure every alteration becomes completely invisible, allowing the bride to feel as though her gown had been made exclusively for her.
A Very Thoughtful Gesture
Incidentally the day the bride collected her dresses It was my sweet sixteen times three birthday 😉🤭. It was so thoughtful of her to give me a beautiful handwritten card.

From Ceremony Elegance to Evening Celebration

Watching both dresses come to life on the wedding day was incredibly rewarding.
The Audrey gown created a timeless, sophisticated bridal look during the ceremony.
Later, the Celine Mini brought a completely different energy to the evening celebrations, allowing the bride to dance comfortably while still feeling effortlessly elegant.
Together, the two dresses perfectly reflected different moments of the same unforgettable day.
Kind Words From My Bride

“Absolutely loved working with Zen on my MWL wedding dresses. She totally got the vision and helped me decide what alterations were needed. I would definitely recommend her.”
Receiving reviews like this means so much because bridal alterations are always a collaborative journey.
It was an absolute pleasure helping bring this bride’s vision to life across both of her Made With Love gowns.
Thank you for trusting me to be part of such a special chapter in your lives.
