Lola sent me this photograph showing one of the biggest issues she was experiencing with her wedding dress before coming to see me. The gown had already been altered elsewhere, and every time she raised her arms, the bodice shifted dramatically, revealing far more than she felt comfortable with. She had been told that this was simply because the dress was not designed for raising her arms.
I knew there was a better solution.
The problem was a lack of internal support and anchoring within the bodice. To resolve this, I created a hidden elasticated boned inner corset. This internal structure allowed the dress to remain securely in place against the body, independently of arm movement, providing far greater comfort, support and freedom of movement.
The result was a bride who could comfortably move, hug, dance, celebrate, throw her hands in the air and enjoy every moment of her wedding day with complete confidence. Most importantly, she no longer had to worry about the dress shifting out of position or the risk of an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
For this bride, the neckline and bust structure required corrective reshaping and internal balancing to achieve a more secure, supportive and flattering fit through the bodice. The gown was carefully restructured to improve the contour, balance and overall silhouette while preserving the original design of the dress.
Corrective bridal alterations like these often involve far more than simply taking a dress in at the seams. In many cases, internal support, contour refinement and structural adjustment are required to ensure the gown feels comfortable, secure and properly balanced throughout the day.

When the bride came to me, I immediately understood what was causing the fit and support issues within the bodice and how the dress needed to be structurally refined to resolve the problem correctly.

The difference became especially clear in the final fitting, where my lovely bride was able to raise her arms naturally and confidently while the bodice remained secure, supportive and beautifully contoured — exactly as a wedding dress should feel on the day itself.

The wedding dress was professionally spot cleaned and carefully steam pressed, while the stunning lace-trimmed veil was also expertly finished, ensuring everything looked flawless for the wedding day.
