Bridal Alterations Canary Wharf | Specialist Bridal Alterations for a Tea-Length WED2B Wedding Dress
When Ruchi found her wedding dress, she knew the WED2B Lidia gown was the perfect choice. Bridal Alterations Canary Wharf | Altering the Illusion Lace Sleeves
One of the most significant alterations involved the illusion sleeves.
Although the original dress suited Ruchi beautifully, the sleeves were noticeably loose and required extensive reshaping. Approximately 3cm was removed throughout the length of each sleeve to create a more elegant, fitted silhouette while preserving the delicate lace appliqués and maintaining the balance of the original design.
Illusion sleeves require careful handling, as alterations must be carried out without disrupting the appearance of the lace or affecting comfort and movement.
The finished result created a far more refined look while maintaining the romantic character of the gown.
Bridal Alterations Canary Wharf | Hidden Bust Support and Bodice Contouring
As with many bridal alterations, achieving the perfect fit involved much more than simply adjusting the size.
Hidden bust support was added within the bodice to provide comfort, confidence and security throughout the wedding day. The bodice was then carefully contoured to improve the overall shape and ensure the gown sat smoothly against the body.
These internal alterations are often invisible from the outside but make a remarkable difference to how a wedding dress feels and performs during a long wedding day.
Professional Bridal Finishing
Before collection, both the wedding dress and veil were professionally steam pressed to ensure every layer hung beautifully and was ready for photographs.
Professional steaming is an important final stage of bridal preparation and helps showcase the full beauty of the gown on the wedding day.
