This piece began in exactly the same way.

Painted entirely by hand on silk, each rose was built slowly,
with soft washes of colour, delicate shading, and fine gold detailing to bring depth and life into every bloom.
The butterflies were added as a gentle contrast — light, fleeting, and full of movement against the stillness of the flowers.
