This Stella McCartney Bernice Sequin Dress was brought to me for expert alterations to improve the fit, support and overall balance of the garment while preserving the elegant drape of the original design.

Specialist Alterations to a Stella McCartney Sequin Dress
Although the Bernice Sequin Dress featured Stella McCartney’s signature fluid silhouette, the fit required refinement to suit my client’s proportions and provide greater confidence when wearing the dress.
The delicate straps were shortened to improve the position of the neckline and ensure the dress sat correctly on the body. Hidden bust support was then added to provide additional structure and security without compromising the clean, minimalist appearance of the gown.
The dress was also carefully taken in to contour the silhouette more closely to my client’s figure. Altering a fully sequinned garment requires considerable attention to detail to maintain the balance of the fabric and avoid disrupting the flow of the design.
Finally, the hem was adjusted to the required length to ensure the dress moved elegantly and comfortably when worn.
